Major announcements: IMLCA Partnership and Subscription Plans

By Reece

What a week so far! Actually, couple weeks! We have a lot going on here in December. Week 1, we met with a few potential investors and had great meetings all around. Lots of ideas thrown in the air and it's exciting to see what the future holds for the bigger picture surrounding HomeField and our future releases. Still, we are laser-focused on HomeField, and more importantly our users, as we sprint through the start-up course. How do we stay so focused? We come to you and go face-to-face...

Announcement Number 1

Last weekend, we went to Baltimore for the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches' Association (IMLCA) to promote HomeField, and more importantly - announce our official partnership with the IMLCA for 2009. We are excited about working with the IMLCA to provide and improve upon the system of handling game film and other technological needs.

This partnership afforded us the opportunity of speaking directly to all the coaches at their divisional breakout meetings. As a former player, it was great to see the behind the scenes of the coaching world. I must say it was really inspiring to see how much you coaches care about the rights of your players. As for HomeField, we heard a lot of concern about the next steps as technology plays a bigger role in the lockerroom and on the field and we're glad we have the solution!

What was funny were the coaches who remember us from last year - Joe and I standing at a makeshift "booth," nothing to demo, just talking up HomeField! This year we had a proper booth (if you count a hotel bed-sheet as a projector screen)* and a product to demo .

The reaction was great! To have coaches approach us and say, "Our whole league is in. We're using HomeField." is so rewarding! We're psyched for all the new teams using HomeField and of course, grateful to all those coaches who have helped promote it along the way. Thank you.

Announcement Number Two

Starting January 1st, we are converting all of our beta users to formalized subscriptions. Don’t worry, your files are still safe with us, and we will continue to provide HomeField free of charge in the meantime. We just want to give you a heads up as we make the transition. We are finalizing our tracking and billing process as we speak and we are confident that the conversion will be seamless for all of our users.

To be clear, no one will be charged a penny until they choose to upgrade their account. You are still free to use HomeField as you like! Check back here for more on announcements with pricing and other details...

This Week at Overtime Media! (Thanksgiving Edition)

By Overtime Media

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We did, and we have a lot to be thankful for - surviving a year as a start-up, terrific support from friends and family, and users who enjoy our service. A sincere thank you to everyone who has contributed along the way!

This week at Overtime Media Reece discussed being agile in the office and also announced Joe's focus shift to business development - and through Reece's post, Joe announced that our next stop is the gridiron. We're looking forward to working with football coaches through spring-ball, to spread HomeField to a new market for next fall.

We also made some headway on a partnership that we are very excited about. We can't release any details as nothing is official yet, but things are looking good for a certain group of coaches out there...

This is official, however - Overtime Media road trip! We're heading South to present HomeField to the IMLCA Clinic in Baltimore December 11-13. We're looking forward to catching up with all the coaches who tested HomeField for us all fall. See you then!
